The Topeka Police Department is pleased to be a part of Shawnee County’s new violence intervention initiative called Strategies Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE).
SAVE is a community-based collaborative effort that utilizes the Group Violence Intervention Model (GVI) to find new ways to address violence locally.
GVI combines law enforcement and community-driven approaches to improve public safety, minimize arrests and incarceration, and foster strong police-community relationships and trust.
SAVE involves community members, law enforcement agencies, businesses, nonprofits and social service providers.
For questions about SAVE, email Project Manager Lindsey Anderson at Lindsey.Anderson@snco.us.
