Downtown parking in Topeka is governed by a variety of regulations. The Parking Administration is housed under City of Topeka Public Works Department. It is overseen by several agencies, including the Topeka Police Department, and Property Maintenance. However, the primary organization dealing with parking is Buildings and General Services, which handles city owned parking garages and lots. The Parking Control Officers enforce the parking meters and time limit violations.
