Topeka Tourism Business Improvement District

Per Ordinance 20064, the City collects a Tourism Business Improvement District fee assessed on hotel bills. Customers are charged $1 per room night for hotel stays, which goes to fund tourism related activity as managed by the Topeka Lodging Association. Downtown Business Improvement District

It is the purpose of the Capital City Downtown Business Improvement District (BID), under the authority of the City of Topeka (3.40.030 TMC) to fund a variety of activities designed to improve, maintain and promote downtown Topeka. The district programs are those that are in addition to programs routinely provided by the City.

The Downtown Topeka, Inc. website promotes downtown Topeka and the businesses within the BID, as a benefit of the annual service fee. Call 785-234-1030 to learn how your business can be included on the website.

NOTO Business Improvement District

It is the purpose of the NOTO Downtown Business Improvement District (NOTO BID), under the authority of the City of Topeka (3.70 TMC) to fund a variety of activities designed to improve, maintain and promote the arts district. The district programs are those that are in addition to programs routinely provided by the City. A district map can be found here.
