A meeting of the Civil Service Commission will take place on Monday, October 9, 2023, to conduct an Executive Session for entry-level Firefighter applicant interviews for consideration of certification by the Civil Service Commission.
This is a VIRTUAL ONLY meeting notice for the City of Topeka’s homeless initiative. Please email the City Clerk’s Office at cclerk@topeka.org for zoom meeting access. This is Week 1: A Virtual Meeting Discovery Research Sprint Workshop that will again be conducted on October 11, 2023, from 3:30 pm to 5:00 p.m.
The public is welcome to audit this meeting in accordance with the Kansas Open Meetings Act (KOMA). This is not a convening of the Governing Body, but rather a convening of the working group, who alongside coach Brianna Sylver, are working to develop effective solutions to address homelessness in Topeka in a proactive and thoughtful way.
No public comment will be accepted during the meeting. Those who attend must simply audit and may not detract from the working group’s discussions.
Those with feedback, ideas and thoughts about how the city and partners can address homelessness are encouraged to email homelessinitiative@topeka.org. The email address will be periodically monitored, however, criminal activity and emergencies should not be reported here.

The Topeka Board of Zoning Appeals meets at 5:30PM on the 2nd Monday of each month. If no applications were received, the monthly meeting is canceled.
