Purpose
The JAAA Advisory Council advises the JAAA Board of Directors concerning policies and programs that affect older persons in Shawnee, Douglas and Jefferson counties.
Meetings
Meetings are held every 1st Tuesday of each month at 10:00am; Location of the meetings are moved monthly to area provider locations.
Membership
It consists of nine members, of which the mayor appoints two. Terms are three years, and there are no term limits. All appointments are effective October 1 of each year. The Mayor may appoint without Council consent.
