Citizens attending the academy will be exposed to company operations, CPR and first aid training, fire prevention and home escape planning, fire extinguisher training, an extrication demo and more. Participants will learn about various aspects of the fire department and how TFD’s personnel keep the city of Topeka safe. Meet leadership, get a tour of a fire station and get your hands on a fire hose – join us for the academy!

It is held every Thursday, 5:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
Registration
Registration is open June 1st – July 1st. Please complete the online registration. Once we have received your application, we will confirm your registration via email and notify you with further information.
Attire
Closed-toe shoes (i.e. tennis shoes, boots. NO SANDALS, FLIP FLOPS, etc.)
