The Forestry Section is responsible for the maintenance of trees on all right-of-ways within the City of Topeka. If you would like to request right-of-way tree care, please call 785-368-3111.

The City also contracts with Garick Inc. for disposal and woodchip services, both for a fee. These chips can be used in the home landscape as mulch. Benefits from the use of woodchips as mulch include improved soil quality, better water retention, playground safety surface, and a microclimate that is more conducive to plant health. An attendant will be available to load chips for you.

The address for the facility is 2200 NW Waterworks Way, which is located just north of I-70 and MacVicar.
