The public is welcome to audit this meeting in accordance with the Kansas Open Meetings Act (KOMA). This is not a convening of the Governing Body, but rather a convening of the working group, who alongside coach Brianna Sylver, are working to develop effective solutions to address homelessness in Topeka in a proactive and thoughtful way.
No public comment will be accepted during the meeting. Those who attend must simply audit and may not detract from the working group’s discussions.
Those with feedback, ideas and thoughts about how the city and partners can address homelessness are encouraged to email homelessinitiative@topeka.org. The email address will be periodically monitored, however, criminal activity and emergencies should not be reported here.

A Special Meeting of the Governing Body has been called by Mayor Michael Padilla to re-interview and discuss candidates for city manager on April 12, 2024 at 5:45pm in the City Council Chambers, 214 SE 8th Street, 2nd Floor, Topeka, Kansas.
SUBJECT: Executive Session for a period of time not to exceed 4 hours to re-interview and discuss candidates for city manager as allowed under KSA 75-4319(b)(1). The following individuals will be present to aid in the discussion: Members of the Governing Body; City Attorney, Amanda Stanley; and two candidates for City Manager.
The open meeting will resume in the City Council Chambers at the completion of the executive session. Written public comment will be considered to the extent it is submitted via email to cclerk@topeka.org or delivered in-person to the City Clerk’s Office located at 215 SE 7th Street, Room 166, Topeka, Kansas.
