Speedy Zoo Entrance
  1. Upon arrival to the zoo, please have your group wait while you present this letter/invoice to the admission booth. Payment will be accepted at the admission booth upon arrival or we can bill your organization after your visit.

  2. Regular Zoo Admissions price will be charged for individuals not included in you confirmation letter count.

  3. We prefer you pay your admissions by check or credit card if possible. If paying by check, make check payable to the Topeka Zoo. If paying cash, please have your bills altogether and ready when you reach the admissions booth. When paying by cash do not have your group pay admissions booth. When paying by cash do not have your group pay admissions individually.

  4. Chaperones and teachers are responsible for make sure group participants follow normal classroom rules and general zoo rules as outlined at gate and on the following sheet.

  5. No outside food allowed in the Zoo during the months of March through October.

  6. The Topeka Zoo is smoke free
General Zoo Rules
NO OUTSIDE FOOD ALLOWED IN THE ZOO
  1. We ask that you provide one adult for every ten students.
  2. Students must stay with their chaperones throughout their visit.
  3. For your safety, we ask that you do not run.
  4. Skateboards, bicycles, scooters, etc. are not allowed on zoo grounds.
  5. Please refrain from touching the animals other than the goats and sheep in the Children's Zoo.
  6. Only feed designated animals in designated spots.
  7. No outside animal or human food is allowed in the zoo.
  8. Please stay on pathways and off guardrails and ropes.
  9. Please place all trash in waste receptacles. Trash left on the grounds possess the potential to end up in an animal's exhibit.
  10. Feel free to visit our concession stand and our gift shop when they are open. If your group would like to eat at the concession stand, you will receive faster service if you call in advance.
  11. Have Fun!!!
Tactics for Good Viewing
Quiet is always better! The quieter you are the better chance you will have viewing the animals. Excessive noise may send animals hiding. If you cannot see an animals, stay quiet and in place for a few minutes. They may come into view to see
what you are doing.
Visiting and/or Program Cancellations
If you need to cancel your zoo visit, please contact the Topeka Zoo at (785) 3689180 as soon as possible. If you have prepaid for your visit, a refund may only be processed if notified one week in advance of your visit/program or if the
Topeka Zoo cancels the visit/program.
