Instructions for Fireworks display:
For permit to conduct display of 1.3 G special fireworks:

• Apply @ Fire Prevention Division, 620 SE Madison, 3rd Floor
  M-F 8:00 AM-4:30PM
  Provide copy of operator's pyrotechnic license.
  Provide site plan.
  Provide proof of insurance or bond in the amount of $500,000.

Instructions for Fireworks permit for sale within the city limits:

• Apply for $280.00 permit at City Clerk's office, 215 SE 7th St., 785-368-3940,
  M-F 8:00AM - 5:00PM.
  Provide site plan of stand location and area.
• Consumer Fireworks are allowed to be sold with the EXCEPTION of Metal Sparklers and devices classified as Bottle Rockets.
  Provide MSDS sheets (to be maintained on site).
