This section is responsible for recording, maintaining and filing project plans, quarter section maps, street, sanitary sewer and storm sewer district boundary maps, and the Official City Map.

Additionally, this section is responsible for handling petitions from citizens for infrastructure improvements and the public hearings and presentations to the City Council for these and other assigned Public Works projects.

It is also responsible for close coordination with the City Clerk's office on such matters as property splits and tax assessment notices.
