Plumbing Inspection (What Do We Inspect?)Exterior Inspections include residential and commercial gas and water service piping, storm sewers and sanitary sewers. Inspections done within a building or structure include storm and sanitary building drains, waste and vent piping, water distribution piping, gas piping, plumbing fixtures, equipment and appliances.
Why We Inspect
Inspections are done to insure that all plumbing installations comply with the requirements of the Uniform Plumbing Code and associated City Ordinances. Pipe, fittings, fixtures and equipment are checked to guarantee a recognized testing agency has approved the product for installation.
Who Else Do We Work With?
The plumbing inspection staff works closely with the City's Engineering, Water, Health and Fire Departments. they also do consultations with Engineers, Architects, Contractors and homeowners.
