The City of Topeka's Public Works Department provide the design, construction, maintenance, and cleaning of the City's streets, roads, and traffic control devices; water treatment and distribution, wastewater collection and treatment, stormwater collection, engineering; permits and code compliance and the custodial services for City buildings.

The department is organized into six divisions
