Parking meters may be hooded, as per City Code, for specific reasons.

You may be eligible for a parking meter hood on a daily or monthly basis if your company performs maintenance on office equipment, communications systems, or must perform construction jobs in the downtown business district.

To be eligible, the business must meet the requirements in the City Code section 142-383.

The fee for hooding a parking meter is governed by City Code and is currently $6.00 per day, per hood. For monthly hoods, the fee is $61.50 per month.

Payment may be made by personal check, cashier check, money order, cash, or accept credit or debit cards. There is a $30.00 fee for returned checks.
