The City of Topeka Building Inspection Section is comprised of four Building Inspectors, each assigned to particular projects in the city, the Building Inspectors leave their office to make inspections each day at approximately 8:30 a.m. and return at 4:00 p.m.. In general, any inspection called for one day is scheduled for the next day, excluding holidays and weekends.
Building Inspectors check the project while it is under construction to ensure that it will be in compliance with applicable codes and ordinances, and that it will be safe and sound.
