Historic Tourism Grant Program Planning - Home | Departments

The City of Topeka’s Historic Tourism Grant Program offers grant funding to qualified owners of historic properties that demonstrate potential for economic contributions to our city’s heritage tourism industry. Funding for this program is provided through a portion of the City’s Transient Guest Tax. All grants awarded through this program are approved by the Transient Guest Tax Committee of the Topeka City Council. The Transient Guest Tax Committee is seeking public input into the program’s proposed grant guidelines and application procedures. The public’s opportunity to comment on these elements of the program has been scheduled for a meeting of the Historic Tourism Grant Advisory Review Committee, to be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday evening, December 5, 2013, in the Holliday Conference Room of the City of Topeka’s Holliday Building, located at 620 SE Madison Street. If you would like to comment on these guidelines or application procedures, The City of Topeka Planning Department would value your inputs or concerns. If you cannot attend the scheduled meeting, but would like to voice your concerns or suggestions, please feel free to contact Tim Paris at 785-368-3728. You may also submit written comments to tparis@topeka.org, or send them to:
