The Planning Department assists with the City of Topeka’s economic development efforts and Go Topeka! at the
Chamber of Commerce in attracting new investment into the city. The Planning Department administers the City’s Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP) which provides a property tax rebate incentive for improvements made to properties within Topeka’s older neighborhoods and commercial/industrial areas.
