Sports Camp

Sports Camp GraphicSports Camp is a summer day camp that allows youth ages 6-13 to develop skills as young athletes and also to interact with their peers to learn respect and teamwork (our two core values). They will participate in such sports as basketball, soccer, volleyball, floor hockey, football and bowling while learning the fundamental skills necessary for success in the sport of their choice. The well-trained counselors have athletic backgrounds and a wealth of knowledge that they are ready and willing to share with the campers!

Additional paperwork and information will also be distributed at registration.

Along with the scheduled activities, campers are provided with two nutritious snacks daily and a chance to cool down and let loose daily in the Oakland swimming pool.

Parents May Choose From Two (2) Options:
Option I  ($118.75 or $95 Topeka resident). Bus transportation will be provided at two of the neighborhood community centers listed, to and from Oakland Community Center. Children may be brought to the community centers after 7:15am and must be picked up by 5:30pm. A bus schedule will be provided at registration. Transportation pick-up/drop-off times will vary at each center (Central Park and Crestview). Please designate at registration which center you will utilize as a pick-up/drop-off point. The enrollment is limited at each center due to the amount of available space on the bus and staff/child ratio. If bus space is filled, parents may need to pick-up/drop-off their child at another center or must choose another option. Minimum enrollment must be met at each location requiring transportation. We reserve the right to eliminate a drop-off site, if minimum enrollment is not met.  Note:  Children may also be dropped off after 7:15am and picked up before 5:30pm at Oakland Community Center

Option II  ($100 or $80 Topeka resident).  Children may be dropped off at 9:30am and picked up at 4pm at Oakland Community Center.

Camp Fee Includes: transportation and extended care for Option I, daily nutritional snacks and beverages, admissions to special activities, as well as supplies for daily programs.

Campers Will Need To Bring Daily:  swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, lunch and a drink in a cooler (refrigeration is not available). Campers should mark their name on all belongings.
