The New Directions Learning Academy is a unique program that allows students to receive a diploma from their sponsoring high school. Enrollment is easy! If you are a Shawnee County resident, 18 years of age or older and whose class has already graduated, or you have a GED and you want to earn a high school diploma: Choose a flexible schedule and the number of hours you want to attend a week.
Pay a $10 enrollment fee.
New Directions' staff will coordinate any necessary communication with the high school you last attended.

Courses offered include all of the graduate requirements in Math, Science, English and Social Studies and a variety of electives, such as:
- Computer classes
Keyboarding, PageMaker
- Microsoft Office '97
