Garfield Community Center has been serving the residents of the North Topeka community since 1957. Our staff is dedicated to working together to provide classes, recreational activities and services for youth, adults and senior citizens in the community.

Activities at Garfield include, adult and youth sports programs, arts and crafts, the After School Cool program, the Lets Help - Even Start program and numerous other classes. Garfield hosts the North Topeka NIA and the North Topeka Weed and Seed Community Improvement organizations, in the multi-purpose room. Our multi-purpose room is also available for rent to the public for private functions, such as wedding receptions, baby and bridal showers, birthday parties, etc.
Garfield Community Center is located at 1600 N Quincy in the beautiful historic Garfield Park in North Topeka. Surrounding facilities include the large Garfield shelter house, baseball/softball diamonds, outdoor basketball court, tennis courts and outdoor swimming pool.
Garfield Park is also home of a Veteran's War Memorial site in the park next to Lou Fieger Drive. Garfield Community Center has been recognized as a Safe Haven for the City of Topeka by the Weed and Seed Organization.
