Camp Pals
Ages: 16 & older
For: Adults with developmental disabilities
Meets: 1 week, 8 hours per day, Monday - Friday
Ratio: 1 staff to 4 campers
Do you have fond memories of Civitan Day Camp? Well, relive the good old days and create new friendships at Camp Pals! This camp is designed for the adult with developmental delays that requires adapted instruction. Our campers can experience traditional (and some non-traditional) day camp activities that are adapted when necessary and presented in an ability and age appropriate manner. We offer fun field trips and challenging activities in a supportive atmosphere. Camp is based in Gage Park in an enclosed, shaded campground with an indoor facility for use during inclement weather and extremely hot days. Camps must walk at a group pace over park terrain and along city streets. Partial scholarships are available in cooperation with the Topeka Civitan Club.
All participants are required to schedule a conference to be completed no later Thursday, May 22. Please bring all completed registration paperwork to this meeting. Please refer to your registration packet for further information.
$100/Topeka resident, $125/non-resident
Participants may be brought to Civitan Day Camp Area in Gage Park at 9am and picked up no later that 5pm.
