Let’s Play Ball!
The Capital Miracle League Parks and Recreation of Topeka and area broadcasting stations
are teaming up to build the first accessible baseball diamond
in Kansas!
Cumulus Broadcasting approached us with a great idea to build an accessible baseball diamond in Topeka. So we are converting Gage Park Diamond #6 into a one-of-a kind, custom-designed baseball complex. Schwerdtz Design Group, Inc. has developed a design that will incorporate a cushioned synthetic turf that accommodates wheelchairs and other walking assistive devices while helping to prevent injuries. In other words, it will provide a level playing field where adults and youth with disabilities can hit, run, and catch - just like the best of them!
But we need your help!
During 2006, our capital campaign has set a goal to raise $1 million from area citizens and businesses. All donations are tax deductible and will be deposited into the Parks and Recreation Foundation’s Capital Miracle League account, a 501(c)3 fund. If interested in donating money or in-kind services, please contact
Jabeth M. Coachman.
Currently, we are able to accept CHECK donations only. Make checks payable to: Parks and Recreation Foundation with Capital Miracle League in the memo line. Mail your contribution to:
