Westlake in Gage Park is available to the public for fishing. A barrier-free fishing dock and picnic shelter provide something for all family members. Come enjoy family fishing fun in the heart of the City!
  • Central Park pond in Central Park is available to the public for fishing. A barrier-free fishing dock is available at this location.
  • For a more natural setting, come fish at Clarion Woods Park at 37th and Fairlawn. Bring a hat and your bug spray and get ready to rough it. A barrier-free fishing dock is available at this location.
  • Ward-Martin Creek in Auburndale Park, located at 2400 SW Perry, is stocked annually in the spring and fall with trout. Catfish are stocked in the spring and summer. Special KDWP trout fishing permits apply. Please call KDWP at 273-6740 for more information on applicable regulations and dates or visit www.kdwp.state.ks.us on the web.
  • Freedom Valley pond located at SE 14th Street and SE Locust Street is complete. Fishing opportunities are available and a barrier free fishing dock is available at this site.
All areas are available from 6am-11pm. The 5 ponds are stocked regularly by the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks as part of their community fishing assistance program. All Wildlife and Parks regulations apply.
  • Kansas River access boat ramp located at Seward and Goodell provides access to the Kansas River.
  • Kansas River public access (river weir) parking lot at 13th and Locust. Enjoy fishing and picnicking on the scenic river weir.
