Mayor of Topeka | Juvenile Corrections Advisory Board

Twelve members including representatives of Sheriff, D.A., Mental Health, Topeka Police, Court Services, Education, and a Juvenile Judge, additionally, three citizen appointments by the Mayor and three citizen appointments by the County Commission.  No more than 2/3 shall be same sex.  Two members must be ethnic minorities.  Terms are for three years.  Actively participates in the formulation of the comprehensive plan for the development, implementation, and operation of the juvenile correctional services in the county and shall make a formal recommendation to the board of county commissioners at least annually. Reviews funding applications and makes recommendations to the commissioners.  Board establishes policies for juvenile services in the County.
