Kansas Avenue Design Workshops
The Capital District Project is sponsoring three Kansas Avenue Design Workshops to provide the community the opportunity to participate in a “big idea” gathering process regarding downtown Topeka. The first meeting is from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, at 800 SW Jackson. The facilitator will be Philip Walker, consultant. The second workshop, also called a charrette, is from 5 to 10 p.m. Oct. 6 at the Ramada Hotel and Convention Center, 420 SE 6th. The facilitator will be Susan Harden, main street specialist. The third workshop will be from noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 13 at 800 SW Jackson. The facilitator will be David Dixon, urban design visionary.
