Shelter Plus Care

Housing and Neighborhood Development administers the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), the HOME Investment Partnerships Program Grant (HOME), the Shelter Plus Care Grant and the Emergency Shelter Grant, which the City receives from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

The Department uses a citizen participation process to develop and recommend housing and neighborhood strategy to the City Council.

The Housing and Neighborhood Development Department prepares the Consolidated Plan and the Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice for City Council approval.
