FEMA Flood Data Viewer for Shawnee County and More

FEMA is in the process of updating flood zone maps throughout the United States, including Shawnee County. If you received a letter from your local government saying your property is now in a flood zone, or if you are just curious and want to check the status of your property, zoom into an aerial view using the “FEMA Map Modernization Preliminary Flood Data Viewer” by following this link http://gis.snco.us/femaviewer/. Also get details about the process in Shawnee County by clicking on the “SN Flood Map Info,” read general information about the process and insurance by going to “Floodsmart,” and learn more about the agency doing the mapping at “FEMA.”
