Clean Air Ordinance information
The City of Topeka has a Clean Air Ordinance, effective December 4, 2009, that prohibits smoking in public places. The primary purposes of the ordinance are to improve and protect the public’s health by eliminating smoking in public places and places of employment and protect the right of non-smokers to breathe smoke-free air.
