Downtown Business Improvement District Advisory Board

Purpose. The purpose of the downtown business improvement district advisory board (BID) shall be to monitor and oversee services provided pursuant to the business improvement district act. The board shall conduct its business in accordance with City Code.  

Membership. The downtown business improvement district advisory board shall consist of nine members, appointed by the mayor with the consent of the city council. Members shall serve in accordance with Topeka City Code 3.40.040 and without compensation.  Members appointed shall be representatives of the businesses located in the district.  

Authority:  KSA 12-1781 et seq; Ordinance 18382
Members:  9 members appointed by the Mayor with consent of the City Council
Term: Two years
Term limits:  None.  No provisions for removal
Meets:  Every other month; time varies
